About Luke
Luke Goetting works on the place where two separate problems have started to collide: an organization's generational divide and its adoption of artificial intelligence.
The connection is not obvious until it is pointed out. Knowledge has always transferred between generations through proximity and time, a junior watching a senior handle something difficult, and both the work and the time are what AI is now compressing. When the tasks a new employee would have learned on are the first to be automated, the ladder they were meant to climb loses its bottom rungs, and the senior expertise nobody has had to explain out loud in thirty years starts to look like a retention risk rather than an asset.
That is the subject of his book, Unlocking NextGen Talent, and of the keynote he built around it. His other work is on the recruitment and engagement side: what actually attracts and holds early-career employees, as distinct from what employers assume does.
